What is Danger Zone?

Danger Zone is a battle-royale style game mode in CS2 where players fight to be the last alive. The playable area (zone) shrinks over time, loot is plentiful, and survival depends on positioning, awareness, and smart engagements.

⚠️ Current status: Solo and Duos are live. Open your tablet (press 5) and use the lobby menu to pick Duos and invite a friend. Trios and tournaments featuring content creators are planned.

How do I play Duos with a friend?

Press 5 to open your tablet, then open the lobby menu.

From there you can:

  • Switch your lobby to Duos.
  • Invite your friend to your duo.
  • Tweak your settings.
What do I start with?

You start with:

  • Your chosen bonus perk.
  • Your fists.

There are no starting weapons — looting immediately is essential.

How should I choose where to spawn?

Choose landing zones based on risk vs reward:

  • High-loot areas: faster weapons and more early fights.
  • Quieter zones: safer starts and more time to gear up.

With more loot across the map, most spawns are viable — but early awareness still matters.

How does looting work?

Loot is significantly increased across the map.

Important changes:

  • You can carry two primary weapons.
  • Certain weapons (for example, auto-snipers) have been removed from the loot pool.

This allows for flexible loadouts that cover multiple engagement ranges.

Can I interact with the environment?

Yes.

Red supply boxes can be broken with your fists.

Fist damage is reduced, so breaking boxes takes longer.

Useful when:

  • You're low on ammo.
  • You want to avoid loud gunfire early in the game.
How do airdrops work?

There are no drones.

Airdrops arrive as a package dropped directly above your current location.

Drops can land on rooftops or in otherwise inaccessible areas.

⚠️ Recommendation: Always call airdrops outdoors — avoid calling them indoors or under cover.

Is there map-based enemy tracking?

No.

The map does not show player highlights or enemy locations.

All awareness comes from:

  • Sound.
  • Visual scanning.
  • Timing and positioning.
Should I fight every enemy I see?

No.

Survival matters more than kills.

Third-party engagements are common, and bad fights drain ammo and armor.

Pick engagements that:

  • Favor your weapon's effective range.
  • Offer cover.
  • Improve your position for later zones.
How does the shrinking zone work?

The playable area shrinks over time.

Rotate early. Avoid open terrain. Use cover and elevation whenever possible.

Late rotations are one of the most common causes of death.

How important is ammo management?

Very important.

Running out mid-fight is common.

Avoid unnecessary spraying.

Be mindful when running two primaries that use the same ammo type.

Good ammo discipline wins games.

What weapons and tactics work best?

General guidelines:

  • SMGs and shotguns — close range.
  • Rifles and snipers — mid to long range.

With two primaries available:

  • Run a close-range + long-range combo.
  • Reposition instead of forcing bad fights.

Smart positioning beats raw aim.

How do I handle cheaters or teamers?

You have multiple options:

  • Initiate a vote kick in-game if you have access.
  • Use the !report command.
  • Report through Discord.

⚠️ Important: Vote-kick abuse is a bannable offense. Only vote when you are confident and have clear reason.
